Subject: When God gets up, who stays?

Picture an earthly Father, sitting in his chair at home; all the neighborhood kids are in the room, doing what children do.  As they go about their various activities, all of these children, it would appear, belong there.  In actuality, though, only his children do; the others are temporary guests.  Some are acting nicely, some are acting badly.  The noise level keeps rising, as it does when children focus on being kids, and don't think an adult is in the room, or paying attention.  Some of the neighborhood kids begin to bully some of his children, mocking, taunting, taking toys away from them, and physically picking on them.  His children are being ganged up on.  What had seemed to be fun to his children becomes no fun at all.  Suddenly, this big, strong Father stands up, and says in a loud, commanding, voice:
"THAT - ISENOUGH!!!  Every one, go - home!!"

Can you picture the results?  What had seemed, just a moment before, sheer uncontrolled bedlam and chaos, has instantly become, just family.  No more bullying, mocking, stealing and destroying of family possessions, or any such foolishness is present; all because Father stood up.  How do you think his children, who had been mocked, taunted, and physically picked on, would act?  Where did all those tough bullies go? and why did they disappear so quickly?  The answer is found in the following verses, which is only one of several times Scripture speaks on this.

Psalm 68:1-3
To the Overseer. -- A Psalm, a song of David. Rise doth God -- scattered are His enemies! And those hating Him flee from His face.  As the driving away of smoke Thou drivest away, As the melting of wax before fire, The wicked perish at the presence of God.  And the righteous rejoice, they exult before God, And they joy with gladness.  (Young's Literal Translation)

You will notice a slightly different wording if you read this passage in the King James, or, a number of other translations.  They put all these actions in the frame of a condition that is hoped for.  I believe this translation gives the clearer picture, stating it more forcefully, as do several others I've read.  It shows it as, not what is hoped for, but direct cause and effect.  God rises / His enemies are dissolved like smoke in the wind and melted like wax in a fire / His children rejoice.  Bam! Bam! Bam! Like the mighty strike of a hammer in a strong man's hand.

At this present moment in time, the enemies of the One True God are trying to literally destroy the tiny nation of Israel.  According to what time it truly is on God's prophetic timeclock, they may appear, for a while, to be winning.  If we are at, or near, such a time though, and Israel appears to be going down, keep your eyes peeled, for HE will rise up at some point and say,  "THAT IS ENOUGH!!!"  When HE gets up, they will scatter.  God's Word says so.  That settles it.  Israel belongs to Him.

You may feel the enemy is out to destroy you at this present time.  You may feel as if you are going down.  In God's perfect plan, this may be a season when they appear to be winning.  I say again, keep your eyes pealed, for our Father will rise up at some point and say, "THAT IS ENOUGH!!!"  When HE gets up, they will scatter.  God's Word says so.  That settles it.  We belong to Him.

I've read the Book from cover to cover, many times over.  I'm telling you how it ends; GOD WINS!!      and     we're     with     Him.    Amen and amen.  Praise His Name forever.
