Subject: What a brain you have!

"What a brain you have!"  Has anyone ever made that statement to you? If you fall in line with the majority of folks, the answer is probably, "no."  Have you ever, on the other hand, been told "you have no brain at all!"?  Well I have good news for you, even if you have never astounded anyone with your mental acumen.  YOU have a great brain;  all of mankind does.  The human brain is an unbelievable masterpiece of creative design.  Resaerchers have learned much about it, but they still haven't mapped out all it does and with what parts.  Our brains are continually performing thousands of functions, sending and receiving messages to and from the other parts of the body.
 
 You, personally, are a veritable genius, if you have personally chosen to follow the Lord Jesus, the Christ of God, making Him your One and Only Savior.  Sadly, some of the (supposedly) smartest people the world has seen haven't been as smart as you.  You have looked around at the evidence of God's hand, all the marvels of creation, and said, "Yep, there is a God."  You have heard the testimony of His Word; and you've been smart enough to agree with Him that you are, indeed, a sinner.  You've been humble enough with your mind power to recognize you can't argue with God and save yourself, so you quit trying and let Him handle your salvation.  You can discern that all the perfectly coordinated intricacies of the body did not happen by random chance.  You can "see" that your two eyes did not just happen to evolve and end up on both sides of your nose, instead of between your toes.  You're smart enough to know the perfect balance of gravitational pulls between the sun, moon, and planets did not come about as the result of a golfball sized collection of all matter exploding outwardly hundreds and thousands and millions and billions of years ago.  The perfect distance of the sun from our planet isn't cosmic chance, you have discerned.
 
YOU, fellow believer, are smarter than many the world has called its greatest geniuses, men and women who have devoted their lives to "disproving" there is a God, when as the Scripture plainly tells us:
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,  
because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became fools,
and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man-and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.  (Romans 1:18-23)
 
How smart you are, Christian!  What a brain you have!  Thank you for using the great intelligence God gave you.  WE can say together, to our Savior and Creator:
I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.   (Psalm 139:14)
 
Addendum
I just thought it interesting, when researching some material for another message and came across a simplified illustration of the differing characteristics of brains in basic life types.  As I studied some of its amazing functions, I realized afresh what a brain He has given us; hence, the message above.  I think it's just awesome that some supposedly intelligent "scientists" can see how the exact mixture of "brains" that each type needs to fulfill its life is present.  I know that diagram was a simplified version, but a study of the functions of each brain type will show you each is absolutely correct for controlling and operating the respective bodies and environments they each contend with.  I would challenge you to dig just a little to investigate the wonders of our mighty Creator's design.  I would also tell you, don't be deceived by such ignoramuses when they tell you "scientists don't believe in God or creation.  Many of the greatest breakthroughs science has ever had were made by very dedicated Christians, men and women who used the brain God gave them for His Glory, not their own.
